This product is being recalled as there might be hairline cracks in both seat shell mountings.
Type / number of model: Type-approval number: E11 – 041518; type: child car seat for group 0+/1 approved under ECE R44/04;
Batch number / Barcode: The child car seats affected were sold between 3 November 2017 and 22 March 2018 (the DUALFIX i-SIZE child car seat is not affected by this measure).
Each Britax Römer seat has a unique serial number. If you’ve bought a Dualfix since November 2017, enter the serial number into the checker tool on the Britax Römer website to confirm whether it is affected: www.dualfix-check.com To find the serial number, you’ll need to: lift up the headrest to the highest position; pull up the flap between the shoulder pads to reveal the plastic underneath; open the two buttons on the cover below the belt (one on the left and right) and pull down to reveal more of the seat shell.
If you have a model of the Britax Römer Dualfix with the fault, you’ll need to enter your details into the Britax Römer website to get a new model directly from Britax Römer, free of charge.
