The results of a new EU-product test (RAPEX) have indicated that BODUM®’s charcoal grills, FYRKAT Picnic (10630) and FYRKAT Mini (11421), sold between 2010 and 2012, have the potential to reach excessively high temperatures during use, leading to a possible risk of fire and burns.
BODUM® has not received any customer reports concerning this issue to date. However, user safety is incredibly important to us, and so we are happy to offer free of charge to those of our customers who have purchased a FYRKAT charcoal BBQ (10630 or 11421), a new and approved fire bowl that is safe to use at very high temperatures.
FYRKAT Picnic (10630) and FYRKAT Mini (11421) should only be used with this approved fire bowl to avoid the risk of fire and burns. DO NOT use the model without this fire bowl.
