A batch of USB-HD3.5S-3.0 and USB-HD3.5SI-BN received into UK with the supplied external power supplies have been manufactured incorrectly.
The AC/DC Adapter was tested by Electrical Safety Assesments and later tested for LVD by an approved testing lab. A risk assesment was done and found the power supply to be of low risk and considered safe to use, however their conclusion was it did not comply with Clauses 5(1) (a) and 5 (1) (b) of the Electrical Equipment (Safety).
Though the actual power supplies present no risk and are safe to use, Dynamode would like to recall the enclosures for changing the power supply and upgrade where necessary.

If, as a customer you have identified you do have this specific product, please stop using it at once. There maybe a risk that the external PSU (power supply unit) may produce an ‘electrical short’ causing the PSU to damage the attached HDU (hard disk) and/or a risk of fire on the external PSU.
