Findus UK recalls its own-brand beef lasagne

Findus UK has recalled all packs of its Findus frozen beef lasagne because horse meat has been found in the product.

The company’s testing has shown that the meat content of some Findus beef lasagne products is more than 60% horse meat. On the 4 February, Findus UK undertook a full product withdrawal of Findus Beef Lasagne products.

The product being recalled from customers is:

  • Findus Frozen Beef Lasagne
  • Pack sizes: 320g, 360g and 500g
  • Date code: all date codes are affected
  • Batch codes: all batch codes are affected

Findus is recalling all affected batches from consumers. A customer information notice is being published in the national press, and point-of-sale notices displayed in stores, explaining to customers why the products are being recalled.

If you have bought one of these products, do not eat it, but contact Findus UK direct for a full refund.

No other Findus products are known to be affected.
